01 / Intro

Run Adobe by typing.

Most people think Adobe means opening Photoshop, hunting for the right panel, and remembering where the tool lives. The connector flips that. You attach your files in Claude, describe the result in plain English, and Claude calls the right Adobe tool for you.

Guest mode gives you a stack of free editing tools the moment it's connected. By the end of this you'll have it set up and three real results made.

02 / The setup

Connect it once, then go mobile.

Do this part on the web or desktop. Connectors and plugins can't be installed from the phone, but once it's on, you can run everything from mobile.

1. Open claude.ai or the Claude desktop app and sign in.

2. In the left sidebar, click Customize.

3. Open Connectors, or Browse plugins and search "Adobe for creativity", then add and connect it.

4. When the Adobe login pops up, sign in with an Adobe ID or skip it. Skipping gives you guest mode, which is about 40 free tools. Signing in with a free or paid Adobe account adds the rest, plus Creative Cloud storage and higher limits.

5. Make sure the connector is toggled on for your chat.

One note. Plugin installs need a paid Claude plan. If you can't install the plugin, you can load the Adobe skills into Claude directly and still run the same workflows.

03 / Example one

Edit a whole shoot to one look.

Drop in a batch of photos from the same shoot and let Claude run a consistent edit across all of them so they read as one set.

Batch edit prompt
Here are 12 photos from the same shoot. Edit all of them to one cohesive look: warm, natural light, lifted shadows, and true-to-life skin tones. Keep them consistent so they read as one set. Show me the before and after on the first photo before you run the rest.

Paste into a Claude chat with the Adobe connector on, right after you attach the photos.

04 / Example two

Clean up a set of headshots.

Point it at portraits and ask for refinement. It evens out lighting, softens the background, straightens, and crops to a clean frame. It'll sequence the right tools on its own.

Headshot prompt
Use portrait refinement on these headshots. Even out the lighting, soften the background, straighten each one, and crop to a clean portrait frame. Keep it natural, no heavy skin smoothing. Then give me four variations of the strongest one.

Paste in after you attach the headshots. Works on one photo or a folder of them.

05 / Example three

Generate an image from a sentence.

This one uses Firefly, Adobe's image generator. Describe the picture and the size you need, and you get options back in the chat.

Firefly prompt
Generate an image with Firefly: a flat-lay of a wooden desk shot from above in soft morning light, with a coffee cup, an open notebook, and a small plant. Warm and editorial, no text. Give me three options at 1200 by 630 so I can use one as a thumbnail.

Firefly and image generation want a signed-in Adobe account, so do the sign-in step above before you try this one.

06 / Avoid these

Skip the obvious traps.

  1. Trying to set it up from your phone. Install on web or desktop first, then run from mobile.
  2. Skipping the Adobe sign-in and expecting Firefly to work. Guest mode covers editing. Image generation needs the account.
  3. Vague prompts. "Make these look better" gets you guesswork. Name the look, name the output size, name what to keep.
  4. Letting it run a full batch blind. Ask for one before-and-after first, then turn it loose on the rest.
" Describe the result, not the toolbar. "

Want a few quick starts? Paste any of these once the connector is on.
